I Really Thought There Were More Pressing Issues

Amid the ever changing political profile in the world, the coup in Honduras, and economic instability in the world, President Obama issues life shattering regulations on . . . . lightbulbs. By the way, the President said the coup in Honduras was illegal. I had a thought, aren’t all coups illegal? But here comes Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to say the, “Administration was not formally designating the ouster as a military coup for now.” Did she and the President chat about this?

The world continues to mourn the passing of rock superstar Michael Jackson. It has dominated the media, in case you didn’t hear about it. In fact there are people around the world that are so devastated that Jesse Jackson has shot a youtube video to provide hope for those Jackson fans. It has been reported that at least 12 people have committed suicide as a result of Jackson’s death.

I think this event, as with the death of any famous person, provides us, as Christians, to provide the answer for the hope that lies within us. (1 Peter 3:15)  Our hope is in Jesus Christ and in the resurrection. (1 Peter 1:3) Let’s share the real hope.
